| There are a variety of communities working together to make the Habitat
dream a reality. Ways you can help: Site Selection - responsible for finding property on which homes can be built. Family Selection - solicits and screens applications from the community and recommends selection of eligible families to the Board for participation in home ownership. Partnership - works with selected families to understand the process, meet sweat equity requirements and network to link the family with appropriate resources. Construction - identifies materials needed, provides oversight of building and labor at the homesite, responsible to facilitate the building of the home. Check out our work party information. Fundraising / Publicity - obtains community support in the form of donated materials and money; keeps the community informed about Habitat, works with the media, manages speakers bureau, special events, produces the newsletter. Church Relations - responsible for fostering relationships with community churches. Churches support the mission of Habitat in a variety of ways and can provide part of the backbone towards our goal of eliminating substandard housing.
