Umpqua Valley Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Oregon and is governed by a Board of Directors. 

The Board consists of a broad cross section of people who work and live in Douglas County and who are committed to the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

Umpqua Valley Habitat for Humanity qualified for "affiliate" status in 1996 after demonstrated interest and commitment in the Habitat mission.  We completed our first home in 1998.  While our affiliate has complete control and responsibility for carrying out the Habitat vision, the International organization can and does provide tremendous support in the form of technical advice, materials, ideas, insurance, networking, guidelines, newsletters, software, forms and training.
